Job opening: Student Services Coordinator, Native Student Services

The Student Services Coordinator (SSC) will help establish a continuity of mentorship and academic excellence by bridging students with NSS, the university and community partners. The SSC will also be responsible for developing other programming opportunities and partnerships. The SSC will deliver recruitment and outreach. The SSC will play a vital role in the development, support and evaluation of programming and recruitment efforts for UAA’s Alaska Native students.

Copy & Print Center staff are remotely monitoring all email, phone calls and our digital storefront. Our production team is available to work on-campus and are scheduled as jobs are received. Please note that we are not available for any walk-in customers. The proofing process will be available on an appointment-only basis, and completed jobs will either be delivered by the Mailroom team or can be picked up by customers also on an appointment-only basis.

Beginning Fall 2020, the UAA Department of Music is offering five scholarships to first-year students who intend to declare music as a major. Each 'Excellence in Music' scholarship is worth $2,000. (To provide perspective on the impact of the award, each scholarship will cover about 30% of a typical full-time, first-year student's tuition.)

UAA announces new Kodiak College director

As noted in my email last week, I’m writing to announce that Ms. Jacelyn Keys will join UAA as the director of Kodiak College. Jacelyn has more than 20 years of experience in higher education and has focused on creating a dynamic, vibrant, inclusive, students-first learning environment. She currently serves as the Hermiston Center director at Blue Mountain Community College in Oregon.
