Slideshow: UAA and IRS Criminal Investigation Division co-host the Adrian Project

UAA accounting student Meghna Bathija arrests economics professor Paul Johnson as he portrays a white collar criminal during the Adrian Project, a forensic accounting simulation hosted in Rasmuson Hall every other year by the Department of the Treasury's IRS Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI) division.

Accounting students experienced the day-to-day work of IRS special agents who “follow the money” and investigate financial crimes during the Adrian Project.

When Kaitlin DeMarcus returned to Alaska in 2009, she knew she wanted to earn a master’s degree but wasn’t sure where to start. It wasn’t until two of UAA’s grant-funded TRIO programs were discontinued in 2016 that she became inspired to grow college access programs in Alaska and pursue a master’s in education at UAA.
