The Students-First Award
Demonstrates exceptional commitment to advancing a culture of institutional excellence that inspires and enables student achievement and success.

  • Faculty winner: Heather Nash, associate director, Academic Innovations & eLearning
  • Staff winner: Jennifer Spencer, advisor, College of Health

Excellence in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Outstanding contribution to the advancement of diversity of UAA students, staff and faculty through increasing the visibility and representation of diverse voices, creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness and community.

  • Winner: Sara Buckingham, assistant professor, Department of Psychology, College of Arts and Sciences

The Community Partnership Award
Outstanding contribution to the advancement of UAA students, staff and faculty while increasing the alignment to meet the community needs.

  • Winner: UAA Student Health & Counseling Center staff

Administrative Excellence Award
Exercises leadership, initiative and outstanding teamwork capabilities that create a positive atmosphere, and consistently performs at a level above normal job requirements to advance a culture of institutional excellence that inspires and enables student, faculty and staff success.

  • Winner: LuAnn Piccard, associate professor and chair, Department of Project Management, College of Engineering

Chancellor’s Choice Award
Award for achievement and/or innovation (best idea) in a category/theme of the Chancellor's choice. The theme for 2021 is student enrollment.

  • Winners: Craig Mead, interim executive director, Office of Admissions; and Shauna Grant, financial aid director, Office of Financial Aid
