I am pleased to share important updates from the UA Board of Regents meeting that took place last week and reaffirm my commitment to keeping UAA affordable for our students. I have advocated for a freeze on the cost of tuition and fees for the 2022-23 academic year. The board will discuss this topic at their next meeting Nov. 11-12.
UAA alumni and Seawolf gymnastics coaches Marie-Sophie Boggasch and Kendra Daniels talk about achieving reinstatement for this season, the work ahead and their journeys from performing to coaching gymnastics.
UAA’s Office of Emergency Management will be coordinating evacuation drills in the academic and office buildings on the Anchorage campus. When the alarm sounds, policy requires that all occupants leave the building using the nearest exit. Drill volunteers will be on site at many buildings, directing people to the Emergency Assembly Area outside and distributing educational hand-outs.
