BiographyHi, my name is Andrew and I am an Alaskan born resident. I am majoring in Psychology and minoring in Military Science about to enter my junior year. Outside of school and work, I like to kick back and relax. Alaska's seasons are tough but I find ways to enjoy them. During the winter I snowboard and spend plenty of time at the gym. During the summer time I spend a majority of my time outdoors going on runs, hikes, camping, fishing, Frisbee golf, and the list goes on! I enjoy staying active and meeting new people. Oh, I also love food! Throughout the school year I am a full-time student and a part-time employee at UAA. I am highly active with Army ROTC, so every Thursday you will spot me as well as others in our uniforms. I'm very outgoing and approachable. If you have questions about UAA or Army ROTC, feel free to contact me. Otherwise, schedule a tour for UAA!
My name is Rosa Choi, and I am a senior at University of Alaska Anchorage. I am originally from South Korea and a transfer student from Sung Shin Women’s University. My previous major in Korea was Clothing, and I am currently working on my Marketing (BBA) degree at UAA. Later on I want to be a fashion buyer and establish my own brand.
I love working as a Recruiter at UAA, and it has been a great place to pursue my degree. I have received a lot of support and help from my advisor, professors, friends, and awesome tutors at the Learning Resources Center. You will get to know that people at UAA are always willing to be there for you! I am a very active person, so I go out to run, camp, and hike. When I want to stay home, I cook, knit, draw, and make jewelries. If there is anything that I could help new students, I am up for it!
Hi there! My name is Tessa Clifton and I am currently a junior at the University of Alaska Anchorage. I’m majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Math, while also working part time in the UAA Recruitment Department. I was born and have lived in Alaska my whole life, though I don’t often partake in the beautiful outdoors it has to offer. My main hobby, and source of interest for my major, is video gaming. As such, I can often be found in one of the many on-campus computer labs gaming before I head to my next class. This interest also led to my involvement of with the Association for Computing Machinery Club, of which I am the Vice President. I also play both indoor and sand volleyball throughout the year. I love hanging out on campus before and after classes, so if you ever see me around, feel free to say hello!
