UAA is partnering with Willamette University College of Law to expand access to law degrees for Alaskan students, offering a new direct-admit juris doctor program for qualified UAA students and alumni who are planning to attend law school.

Physical therapist and UAA scholarship donor Pat McAdoo first encountered the university after moving to Alaska in 1985 to work at the Alaska Native Medical Center. A colleague there told her that one really needs to have some structured activities in the winter, so McAdoo signed up for a class at UAA in the evenings: Alaska, the Land and its People.

Ginger Mongeau is retiring!

After more than 25 years of professional dedication, Ginger Mongeau, MPH, will be retiring from her research position in the Office of Institutional Research (IR). Ginger has had a full career at UAA. Over the years, she has advanced from a work study student in the Chancellor's office, to a project manager at the Center for Behavioral Health Research and Services, to her current position in IR. Ginger is appreciative of the many opportunities for educational, professional, and personal growth afforded by UAA. Ginger will be missed as she has built meaningful collaborative relationships at UAA. Ginger's last day will be June 4, 2021.
