Call For Entries: 2012 'No Big Heads' self-portrait exhibition

UAA's Student Union Gallery has announced the details for this year's No Big Heads
exhibit, a national, juried, self-portrait competition of limited size. All artists
are welcome to submit entries. Works must be no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches
in any direction, including framing and hanging materials. There is a limit of two
entries per person. All submissions are due on Wednesday, Oct. 17.
The Best of Show award is $1,000 and a summer 2013 solo exhibit at the Student Union Gallery. There will also be other cash prizes totaling $1,000.
This year's juror will be David Kassan, a realist portrait artist from Brooklyn, N.Y. He is well-known for his incredibly detailed life-sized portraits and his work has been featured in dozens of exhibitions around the world.
The show will run Tuesday, Oct. 23-Tuesday, Nov. 6 in the Student Union Gallery.
