June 22, 2013: First-aid volunteers needed for Mayor's Marathon

The Mayor's Marathon medical staff is looking for anyone interested in volunteering to work in first-aid capacity as a "medical biker" on the marathon and half-marathon racecourses on Saturday, June 22.

Requirements:

• Medical experience and FA/CPR certification or above (EMT, nurses, medics, doctors, etc.)
• Serve as a "medical biker" along a section of the racecourse. Must provide your own bicycle.
• Available for 2-6 hours.

First-aid kits will be provided. Volunteers also receive a free t-shirt. Please e-mail Chris Volk at cavolk@uaa.alaska.edu if you are interested.
