Mariners alumniOn Saturday, July 13, UAA alumni from around the Pacific Northwest got the chance to reunite with their fellow Seawolves and cheer on the Seattle Mariners in their bid against the Los Angeles Angels at Safeco Field.

Mariners fan gramThirty-eight alums enjoyed a right field suite, hosted by UAA Chancellor Tom Case, UAA Alumni Association board member Mark Filipenko and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Alumni Relations Rachel Morse. Seawolves Hockey alumni surprised Chancellor Case with a jersey signed by pitcher Felix Hernandez (#34), who pitched eight scoreless innings Saturday, and a FanGram on the Safeco scoreboard jumbotron.

The lively UAA alumni weren't the only Alaskans enjoying the game, though. Neighboring suites were filled with UAF and UAS alumni.

The Mariners won the game 6-0 and UA alums scored some new swag from their alma maters as well as a night to remember.
