Free flu shot clinic for UA employees - Nov. 5 and 8, 2013

by Michelle Saport  |

The University of Alaska is partnering with Carrs/Safeway to offer flu shot clinics on the UAA Campus. Flu shots will be provided at no cost for all benefit-eligible UA employees and their dependents. To get yours, fill out the Consent and Release form found on the HR website and bring it along with your Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance card to one of the scheduled clinics. If you don't have Blue Cross, don't worry. Just bring your release form and UA will take care of the rest. There is no need to make an appointment. There are two clinics scheduled for next week:

Tuesday, Nov. 5, 10-11 a.m. Professional Sciences Building, Room 219

Friday, Nov. 8, 1-2 p.m. Allied Health Sciences, Room 106

More clinics will be scheduled for the week of Nov. 18. If you are not able to make it to one of the on-site events, please contact your provider or pharmacy for information about flu shots. The UA Choice Health Plan pays 100 percent of the allowable cost for routine immunizations such as flu shots. For more information on preventive services covered at 100 percent of allowable charges, please visit the HR Statewide website.
