Monday, Dec. 2, 6-7:30 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307
UAA Integrated Suicide Prevention Initiative (UAA-ISPI) and UAA Active Minds Club are partnering to offer a suicide prevention training for students to help them recognize suicide risk and feel confident intervening with someone who may be suicidal. During this training, students will learn about warning signs of suicide, how to effectively interact with someone who may be at risk for suicide and what campus and community resources are available.
There are no prerequisites to take part in this training and all students are welcome. Free pizza from Moose's Tooth will be provided.
Visit the ISPI training page to register. To learn more about suicide prevention and the UAA-ISPI, visit www.uaa.alaska.edu/ispi. For more information on UAA Active Minds Club, visit www.facebook.com/UAAActiveMinds.
