2014 Second Bridge Scholarship Award

The Center for Community Engagement & Learning (CCEL) is accepting proposals from UAA undergraduate students for this year's Second Bridge Scholarship Award now through Jan. 31, 2014. This award of up to $2,000 encourages UAA undergraduates enrolled in any degree-seeking program to pursue a structured but nontraditional educational experience in service learning. Students who engaged in a study-abroad program or a domestic community-engaged program crossed a "first bridge" that expanded their educational horizons. Crossing the "second bridge" requires a commitment to either an international setting or a domestic setting that will push the boundaries of traditional education, meet a community need and afford a richer, deeper experience for the student.
