Feb. 28, 2014: UAA EWeek Celebration

Saturday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wells Fargo Sports Complex

The UAA College of Engineering and local, professional engineering societies will sponsor competitions for local elementary, middle school and high school students as part of this year's EWeek Celebration. The premier event that always gets the biggest reaction from students is the Bridge Breaker-students construct a bridge out of balsa wood at home or in school and then find out what sort of load it can withstand before it fails. Other competitions include Egg Drop, Floatable Moatables, the Lego Logno, Paper Airplane Distance Toss, Shake and Break, Egg Toss and more.
