Spring 2014 - Young to middle-aged adults urged to get flu vaccine

by Michelle Saport  |

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is reporting that this year's predominant flu strain is H1N1, which can cause severe respiratory illness among young and middle-aged adults in particular. H1N1 is one of the strains included in the flu vaccine this year. Anyone who has not yet been vaccinated this season is advised by the CDC to get an influenza vaccination.

The Student Health and Counseling Center (Rasmuson Hall, Suites 116 and 120) offers $15 flu shots for students, faculty and staff. No appointment is necessary. Call (907) 786-4040 for further information.
