The UAA Department of Theatre & Dance is proud to announce its upcoming production of "M. Butterfly," written by Chinese-American award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang. "M Butterfly" has been referred to as "a work of uncommon brilliance" and called "one of the most compelling, explosive and slyly humorous dramas ever to light the Broadway stage." Based on a true story that stunned the world, "M. Butterfly" revolves around a French diplomat in China. Convicted of espionage, he is prisoner to his government and enslaved by his fantasy of the perfect woman.
