Great Alaska ShakeOut 2014

As part of the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Good Friday earthquake, Alaska will conduct the Great Alaska ShakeOut on March 27 at 1:36 p.m. On UAA's campuses from Palmer to Kodiak we intend to activate the Cisco speakerphone paging system to announce the drill and ask everyone to "Drop! Cover! Hold On!" Besides being a good opportunity for earthquake readiness education, this will also be a test of our on-campus alerting capability for work areas and those classrooms and labs equipped with VoIP telephones.
Please inform Ron Swartz (rcswartz@uaa.alaska.edu) if you find a specific phone doesn't activate and he'll turn that information over to IT Services.
