Family Pack Pass: An affordable way for families to attend every Seawolf home game

The 2014-15 season promises to be a big year for the Seawolves. Following a string of highly successful seasons, UAA's basketball, gymnastics and volleyball teams are preparing for their first games in the new Alaska Airlines Center.

To give families an affordable way to experience the action, Athletics is offering a Family Pack Pass to all UAA staff, faculty, students and alumni, and Seawolf sponsors. The pass costs $250 and gives families of four admission to every regular home game at the new arena. (For a price comparison, consider this: Buying four individual tickets to each home game would cost about $1,700 for the season.)

"The Family Pack Pass is something we created this year," said Athletic Director Keith Hackett, "to provide family opportunities for entertainment at a much more reasonable price than what they normally would have paid for all events."

"We want young fans. We want them to be able to experience college athletics," Hackett continued. "What better way than coming to watch a few matches?"

The new season kicks off Sept. 5 with the SpringHill Suites Volleyball Tournament, part of the week-long grand-opening celebration for the Alaska Airlines Center.

Fans can buy a Family Pack Pass by calling the UAA Athletics Ticket Office at (907) 786-1562. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Box Office, located in the southwest entrance of the Packer Family Pavilion of the Alaska Airlines Center. Ticketing is available Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and during the hour before home games.

The passes are valid for all Seawolf games in the Alaska Airlines Center, with the exception of tournaments such as the Great Alaska Shootout or Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships.
