Recycle your electronics at special event, Nov. 15

Saturday, Nov. 15, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. West Parking Lot (next to Professional Studies Building)

Come join us for America Recycles Day and help eliminate electronic waste from our landfills. Simply bring your personal electronics to the UAA West Parking Lot (map) to recycle them. Personal electronics include cell phones, computers, stereos, TVs, game consoles and similar items. A small charge will be applied to TVs and monitors (see below for charges), but all other electronics will be recycled for free. (Note: No business electronics, batteries, light bulbs or smoke detectors will be accepted.) The event will also be a great opportunity to meet local businesses and learn more about recycling in Anchorage.

At the last electronic recycling event in 2011, we recycled 29,000 pounds of electronics-help us crush that total this year!

Rates for TV and monitor recycling:

TVs:

• $10 for 13"
• $15 for 19"
• $25 for 27"
• $35 for 36"
• $50 for anything over 36"

Monitors:

• $15 for all sizes
