Note: This workshop is currently full. If the workshop is offered again this semester, a new announcement will be posted in the Seawolf Daily. For more information, contact Ron Swartz (RCSwartz@uaa.alaska.edu).

Friday, Jan. 23, 1-3 p.m. Alaska Airlines Center, Second Floor, Dresser Family Conference Room

The University Police Department is offering a workshop in security and threat assessment for those who work in reception-type roles within our departments. The session is free. Class size is limited to 20. Contact Lt. Ron Swartz (RCSwartz@uaa.alaska.edu) to register.

About the workshop: Are you prepared to identify the warning signs of danger and handle emergency situations right from your desk? When should you call the University Police Department? Unexpected events can have devastating effects that threaten the safety, security and well-being of both UAA and its employees. As your department's first line of defense, you must be prepared for them. It's important that you are able to recognize red-flag situations and handle them with confidence and authority.
