Second Jazz Week Benefit Concert - Jan. 28, 2015

The UAA Department of Music announces the second concert in its annual Jazz Week Benefit Concert Series. This concert will present the Pat Owens All-Star Octet, a collection of Anchorage's finest jazz musicians featuring four horns and a rhythm section with arrangements by Clifford Brown, Dave Pell and others. Band members include Rick Zelinsky and Jeff Brayfield (saxophones), Jim Parcel (trombone), Pat Owens (trumpet/flugelhorn), Mark Manners (guitar), Dave Arrowsmith (bass), Kevin Barnett (piano), Cameron Cartland (drums) and vocalist Brenda Vulgamore.
Tickets are available in person at the UAA Box Office, over the phone at (907) 786-4849 or online at UAATix.com. All tickets purchased before Jan. 28 will be discounted.
Proceeds will benefit UAA Jazz Week 2015, March 1-6.
