by Michelle Saport  |

Monday, March 2, 6:30 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307

In recognition of National Criminal Justice Month, join us for a special presentation by Allen Ault, Ph.D., dean of the College of Justice & Safety at Eastern Kentucky University.

Ault will share his experiences working as commissioner of corrections in Georgia, Colorado and Mississippi; warden of a maximum-security prison; and chief of special projects for the National Institute of Corrections, U.S. Department of Justice. He will discuss his years in corrections, his work on corrections initiatives such as re-entry and inmate mental health, and how his experiences have shaped his view on the death penalty.

Free parking for this event is available in the following lots only: Library Main Lot, Library NE Lot and East Parking Garage. (The Central Parking Garage and surface lot are pay-parking only.) Click here for Google map (blue markers indicate free parking areas for this event).

Troy Payne, Ph.D., and Jason Brandeis, J.D., are the Justice Center faculty advisors for this event.

This event is co-sponsored by the Justice Center and the Pre-Law Society.

In 2009, the United States Congress established March as National Criminal Justice Month. The purpose of National Criminal Justice Month is to promote societal awareness regarding the causes and consequences of crime, as well as strategies for preventing and responding to crime.
