by Michelle Saport  |

Tuesday, Feb. 17, 7-9 p.m. Alaska Public Media, TV Studio

Come watch a free screening of the film "Smoke Signals," inspired by Sherman Alexie's book The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven. The movie gives us a glimpse into the contemporary Native American world and is created by an almost exclusively Native American cast. A follow-up community conversation on propaganda and stereotypes will be held at Loussac Library on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 6 p.m.
