March 13–16, 2015: Top-ranked UAA women's basketball team to host regional championships

The nationally top-ranked Alaska Anchorage women's basketball team has been selected as the No. 1 seed and host for the NCAA Division II West Region Championships tournament. The tournament will be held March 13-16 at the Alaska Airlines Center.

The Seawolves (29-1)-who earned the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's automatic NCAA Tournament bid-will play their opening-round game Friday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m., against No. 8-seeded Point Loma (19-11). UAA is making its 14th all-time and second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance, and is playing host to the regional tournament for the first time.

Tickets are $12 for individual sessions for adults. All three sessions can be purchased for $30. All college students, youth (17 and under) and seniors (62 and over) can get individual sessions for $7, and all three sessions for $18.
