Show: "William Shakespeare's Land of the Dead: A True and Accurate Account of the 1599 Zombie Plague" Location: UAA Mainstage Theatre (Fine Arts Building, Room 220) Show dates: April 10-26 Show times: Fridays and Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m.

The UAA Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to announce the final production of our 2014-15 season, "William Shakespeare's Land of the Dead," a comedy in five bites, directed by Tom Skore.

The premiere of Henry V is concluding at the Globe Theatre when a company member is bitten by some "deranged individual" just outside the theatre. Before the evening is over Sir Francis Bacon, Will Kemp and even Queen Elizabeth herself will show up at the Globe, as well as throngs of deranged individuals, all pounding on the door! Why? Has the whole town gone mad?!

Rich with historical characters, not to mention comic, clever, frightening and well-written... it's definitely a show you can sink your teeth into. If Shakespeare, zombies, sword fights and some funny possibilities as to how some of the Bard's greatest plays came to be appeals to you, be sure to join us as we conclude our season a la Bard.

Tickets are $18 for general admission, $13 for non-UAA students/seniors/military and $11 for UAA students. Buy yours today at UAATix.com or by calling (907) 786-4TIX.

Note: There are two tentative special events scheduled to coincide with this production. The first is a joint symposium with the Department of English department tentatively set for April 19 immediately following the show. The second is "Get Your Garb On," where people dressed in renaissance garb and/or zombie make-up will be able to attend the Saturday, April 11, performance at a discounted price. Look for confirmed details about both events to be forthcoming.
