The Office of Student Affairs is proud to announce that Whitney Brown, coordinator of Student Affairs Research, Assessment and Staff Development, has been appointed as a member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) Region V Board, serving as the assessment, evaluation and research knowledge community representative. As such, Brown will collaborate with other board members to provide regional guidance and support for the advancement, health and sustainability of the student affairs profession. Her term begins this month and continues through March 2017.

Since Brown joined the UAA Student Affairs team in June 2013, she has effectively guided the assessment needs and professional development within the division. Her enthusiasm for creating an engaged and student-centered environment has manifested in successful learning events and divisional collaboration. In addition to leading the Student Affairs Assessment Team, Brown works one-to-one with departmental leadership to ensure each department is fulfilling its mission.
