The Office of Student Affairs is proud to congratulate Sheila Randazzo, transition advisor for Native Student Services, as the UAA winner of the University of Alaska 2015 Staff Make Students Count Award in recognition of her exemplary service to students. Her dedication and commitment to assisting Alaska Native and rural students transition into the Anchorage and UAA communities is an outstanding testament of how student-centered service enables success.

UA President Gamble will present Randazzo (along with the three other winners of the 2015 Staff Make Students Count Award) with an award plaque, a $1,000 check and two airline vouchers at the next UA Board of Regents meeting. Since establishing the award in 1999, the University of Alaska has conferred this honor on one nominee from each university.

Please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved honor. We look forward to seeing how her excellent service to our students continues to enhance and bolster the UAA community.
