UAA Main Campus evacuation drills scheduled for Aug. 31–Sept. 4, 2015

by Michelle Saport  |

The Anchorage campus' annual evacuation drills are scheduled for the week of Aug. 31-Sept. 4. Each academic or office building will experience alarm horns, bells and strobes, and all occupants must evacuate. Building managers and drill team members (identifiable by safety vests) will be in the area to direct occupants to the Emergency Assembly Area(s), where educational fliers will be distributed. Alarm hardware throughout the buildings will be checked as quickly as possible. Drills will last only as long as it takes for everyone to evacuate and for inspection of the system functionality. Once alarm signals are silenced, it will be permissible to re-enter the facilities.

Please contact your building manager for information on the location of your Emergency Assembly Area.

Thank you, Ron Swartz, UAA Emergency Manager University Lake Annex Building, Room 101
