Invitation to attend 2015 Relate North Symposium and Art Exhibit

Relate_North_2015The 2015 Relate North symposium and exhibition is a collaboration between the University of the Arctic, ASAD thematic network, the University of Alaska Anchorage, the University of Lapland and the Kimura Gallery.

Arctic Sustainable Arts and Design (ASAD) is a thematic network that aims to identify and share contemporary and innovative practices in teaching, learning, research and knowledge exchange in the fields of arts, design and visual culture education. In summary, the network seeks to promote cooperation and collaboration between academic institutions and communities, advance art education among members and share both traditional and contemporary practices in teaching, learning and research.

We have confirmed more than 20 speakers and artists from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Canada, U.K., Scotland and U.S. The full symposium program is posted and registration is now open.

Dates Symposium: Nov. 4-6, 2015 Exhibition: Nov. 6-Dec. 4, 2015 Exhibit opening reception: Friday, Nov. 6, 2-4 p.m., Kimura Gallery (UAA Fine Arts Building, Second Floor)

Register for 2015 Relate North. All conference sessions are open to the public and the public is welcome to attend. Registration is required for all attendees.
