Meet the UAA Student Affairs team

In celebration of October's Careers in Student Affairs Month, UAA staffers Whitney Brown (Coordinator of Student Affairs Research, Assessment & Staff Development) and Sam Holthouser (Commuter Student Services Coordinator) put together an article highlighting the field in Alaska. In the publication, Student Affairs professionals in Alaska share their personal stories to outreach to potential new professionals and offer a perspective on a career in student affairs with a look at "What is Student Affairs" and the unique steps students from Alaska--and other remote areas where student affairs is a growing profession--can take to explore and enter the field of higher education.
