UAA faculty Hiroko Harada recognized for excellence in teaching, commitment to Japanese education

UAA faculty Hiroko Harada, professor and director of the Montgomery Dickson Center for Japanese Language and Culture, has been named as the recipient of the 2015 Teacher Award (post-secondary category) by the American Association of Teachers of Japanese (AATJ). This award recognizes excellence in: quality and innovative teaching; service to the profession and the community; participation in professional development activities; and advocacy for her program and Japanese education as a whole.

She will accept the award at the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages' Convention in San Diego at a luncheon held on Saturday, Nov. 21. Please join us in congratulating her on this tremendous honor.
