The Undergraduate Research & Discovery Symposium celebrates and connects undergraduate research taking place all across UAA, and fosters scholarly discussion between students, faculty and the community. Join us to celebrate undergraduate achievements during the 2016 symposium, April 11-15.
Keynote address: Dr. Jim Olson presents "Natural Blueprints for a New Type of Drug" Thursday, April 14, 7-8:30 p.m. Wendy Williamson Auditorium
Keynote speaker Dr. Jim Olson is a renowned cancer researcher with the Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center. He worked at Seattle Children's Hospital and the University of Washington to develop an innovative tumor paint--a drug that finds and attaches to tumor cells--illuminating them to show surgeons exactly where to cut.
