20160501-commencement-hooding-headerDear faculty, We look forward to seeing you at the hooding and commencement ceremonies on Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1.

Hooding Ceremony (Saturday, April 30, 3 p.m.): If you have not RSVP'd and plan to attend, please do so as faculty will be seated on stage and we need an accurate count for chairs. RSVP here.

Please assemble in the Wendy Williamson dressing room 109, accessible through the Professional Studies Building main hallway, no later than 2:45 p.m. Volunteers will line you up for the processional into the Wendy Williamson Auditorium.

Following the ceremony, you will exit the stage to your left, continue through the exterior doors and form an honor aisle outside leading toward the quad.

Commencement Ceremony (Sunday, May 1, 1 p.m.): We have prepared two faculty lounges on the far end of the main gym of the Alaska Airlines Center and you will be seated in the arena seating behind the stage. See a map of the arena and seating pattern here. Signs will be posted denoting which colleges will stage in which lounge. The lounge for College of Arts and Sciences and College of Business and Public Policy will be on the south side; all other colleges will be on the north side. Signs will be in place to guide you. Light refreshments, along with greeters to advise you on program details, will all be available.

Lobby doors open at 11:30 a.m. with main doors to the arena opening at noon. Please arrive no later than 12:30 p.m., as volunteers will begin lining you up at this time. Faculty seating will be at the east end of the arena behind the stage.

Parking will be challenging at the Alaska Airlines Center. You may consider parking in the east lot, east parking garage and library parking lots and taking the shuttle from the Arts building to the Alaska Airlines Center. Shuttles will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. and for one hour following the conclusion of the ceremony.
