June 2016 Board of Regents meeting

by Michelle Saport  |

Dear UAA colleagues and students,

On Thursday and Friday, the University of Alaska (UA) Board of Regents will hold its June meeting on UAA's Anchorage campus. The regents will be discussing several important topics and President Jim Johnsen will outline details for implementing the Strategic Pathways expedited review. The regents are also expected to review and vote on UA's $335 million FY17 budget. View the full agenda.

I know many of you are feeling unsettled by recent changes and current challenges we're facing as a university-and as members of a campus community for which we care deeply.

I want to encourage you to engage in the conversations that are taking place regarding the future of our university. You can attend the regents' meeting in person at Gorsuch Commons on June 2 and 3, or you can listen to the meeting via live stream here.

I hope you will take the opportunity to participate.

Thank you for your continued hard work. I am incredibly proud of the amazing things being done by UAA faculty, staff and students every day.

Sincerely, Chancellor Tom Case
