Oct. 18, 2016: Free population and economic data workshop

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, the UAA/APU Consortium Library will host the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the U.S. Census Bureau's fifth-annual Population and Economic Data Workshop. The event will feature speakers from the U.S. Census Bureau, Alaska Department of Labor, Alaska Division of Community and Regional Affairs and UAA Institute for Social and Economic Research. There will be sessions throughout the day, and you may attend as many or as few sessions as you're able. Topics include:

• Economic data • Population data • Community-level data • Geographic data • Data tools for grant writers • Census Bureau programs • Permanent Fund Dividend • How to access data

All sessions will be in Room 307 of the UAA/APU Consortium Library. Attendees can park for free in the Library lot, Library NE lot, Central Garage and East Parking Garage. Arrive early to get a spot.
