March 3, 2017: COH Grand Rounds offers interprofessional education experience for students

Grand Rounds Event: Innovations in Diabetes Treatment Friday, March 3, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Student Union, South Cafeteria

UAA College of Health students are cordially invited to take part in an interprofessional education. The Grand Rounds is an interactive experience investigating a diabetes study with peers, faculty and healthcare providers.

Students will:

  • Earn recognition and experience with interprofessional education while enhancing your understanding of diabetes and the use of insulin pumps in treatment.
  • Gain perspective and learn about the significance of working on interprofessional teams in the modern-day healthcare workforce.
  • Have fun!

Tentative agenda 12-12:10 p.m. Introductions and synopsis of the project 12:10-12:40 p.m. Case study 12:40-1:10 p.m. Small group discussion 1:10-1:30 p.m. Large group discussion and wrap-up
