UAA English graduate students are pleased to announce the 2017 Pacific Rim Conference on English Studies (Pac Rim), taking place March 30-April 1 in the Administrative/Humanities Building. This year's conference centers around the theme "Moving Bodies, Moving Ideologies," and features keynote speakers Cheryl Glenn of Pennsylvania State University and Jervette R. Ward of the University of Alaska Anchorage.

The English students are proud to bring Pac Rim to Anchorage for its 22nd year. Pac Rim invites everyone-students, faculty and staff from all departments, as well as all members of the community-to attend. This year, we are showing two films: "Two Lives" (Thursday, March 30, at 7 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, Room 117) and "The Defiant Ones" (Saturday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, Room 117). Both films are free of charge. Please enjoy these and the many other enriching opportunities available at this year's Pac Rim conference.
