FY18 capital budget includes $5 million for the university’s deferred maintenance needs

The Alaska Legislature passed an FY18 capital budget that includes $5 million of the $50 million requested by the UA Board of Regents for deferred maintenance and renewal/re-purposing needs.
Addressing UA's deferred maintenance backlog is a top priority of the Board of Regents. The regents will meet on Aug. 9 from 2-3 p.m. to approve the FY18 capital budget. The meeting will be livestreamed at alaska.edu/bor/live.
