Domecast: "Are We Alone in the Universe?" presented by Dr. Lisa Kaltenegger Friday, Nov. 3, 4:30-6 p.m. UAA Planetarium and Visualization Theater (ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building, Room 220)
Thousands of exoplanets have been discovered over the past two decades. In this lecture, Dr. Lisa Kaltenegger discusses these discoveries and explores how we can determine which exoplanets might be suitable for life. She reviews techniques and missions that could detect life itself on these worlds, finally answering the question, "Are we alone in the universe?" Kaltenegger will deliver her lecture at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago, and it'll be livestreamed to the UAA Planetarium.
