April 6, 2018: Dr. Tia Brown McNair discusses equity and student success trends and issues

Dr. Tia Brown McNair is the vice president in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Student Success at the Association of American Colleges and Universities in Washington, D.C. She oversees the association's continuing programs on equity, inclusive excellence, high-impact educational practices and student success, including the Network for Academic Renewal conferences. Dr. McNair also directs the association's Summer Institute on High-Impact Educational Practices and Student Success. She serves as the project director for several initiatives: Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation, Committing to Equity and Inclusive Excellence: Campus-Based Strategies for Student Success, and Purposeful Pathways: Faculty Planning and Curricular Coherence.
On Friday, April 6, from 9-10:30 a.m. in Rasmuson Hall 303, McNair will lead a conversation focused on trends and issues in higher education related to equity and student success. The event is open to interested students, faculty, student affairs professionals, staff, and administrators. There's no need to register, but seating is limited to 25 due to room capacity.
Also on Friday, April 6, McNair will deliver the keynote address at the Faculty Development Awards Luncheon, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307.
