UA Center for Economic Development recruiting for two VISTA positions focused on entrepreneurship

Join a dynamic team that's passionate about growing Alaska's economy! The University of Alaska Center for Economic Development (CED) leverages the expertise of the University of Alaska to support economic development and capacity building across the state.

We are filling two full-time VISTA positions focused on different aspects of entrepreneurship.

The CED Urban Entrepreneurship VISTA will work on a variety of projects including:

  • Creating resources and training for entrepreneurs and small business owners
  • Conducting a survey of local entrepreneurs to identify what resources they need
  • Collaborate with other organizations working with entrepreneurs on best practices for resource and training delivery

The CED Youth Entrepreneurship VISTA will work on a variety of projects including:

  • Work directly with the Lemonade Day Coordinator, at the Alaska Small Business Development Center
  • Develop a curriculum to grow Lemonade Day program in rural communities
  • Facilitate workshop and events for youth, including Reading Rendezvous and financial literacy workshops
  • Increase resources available for youth entrepreneurs across the state
