The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day addresses a crucial public safety health issue. According to the 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.2 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.

The DEA's Take-Back Day events provide an opportunity to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.

Drop off unused or expired medications anonymously to one of the following collection sites this Saturday:

  • Providence Alaska Medical Center
  • Fred Meyer (Muldoon location)
  • Fred Meyer (Abbott location)

If you cannot participate this Saturday: Providence Alaska Medical Center is available for Rx disposal for public use from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays at the Medical Arts Pharmacy, which is located at 3300 Providence Drive, Suite 101 (B Tower - Entrance #4).
