UAA Student Activities and Commuter Programs invites students, employees, alumni and
the public to three free events this week:
Claybody Ceramic Invitational
Tuesday, Jan. 22, 5-7 p.m.
Hugh McPeck Gallery (Student Union, Second Floor)
Join us at the opening reception for the Claybody Ceramic Invitational, an art exhibition featuring ceramics created by UAA students.
Open Mic and Karaoke Night
Thursday, Jan. 24, 7-9 p.m.
Student Union, Den
Join us for Open Mic Night and Karaoke. Karaoke streams from karafun.com, an online karaoke service that offers 31,000 songs. Students bring their guitars, drums, slam poetry, and voices to offer a fun and explosive event for all to enjoy.
Lecture by Derreck Kayongo
Friday, Jan. 25, 7 p.m.

Join us to hear from Derreck Kayongo. From Ugandan refugee to successful entrepreneur and renowned human rights activist, Derreck inspires audiences to dream big as he shares his vision for harnessing the power of observation to identify issues and solve challenges in any community or organization. With his trademark panache, Derreck Kayongo inspires and empowers with his courageous story of survival, social entrepreneurship and humanitarianism, and the life lessons he learned along the way.
