April 14, 2019: Guitarist Armin Abdihodzic in Concert

Join us Sunday, April 14, at 4 p.m. for an intimate afternoon of music, and explore the landscape of contemporary guitar. The concert will feature works by Roland Dyens, Antonio Lauro, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Miroslav Loncar, and others.

UAA faculty member, Dr. Armin Abdihodzic, began playing guitar at age eight in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Throughout his career, he received top prizes in many renowned guitar competitions. He has performed solo and chamber concerts in Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Brazil, USA, and has appeared as a guest soloist with the Anchorage Civic Orchestra and the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra. He was also featured in Anchorage Opera Company's performance of "Maria de Buenos Aires" by Astor Piazzolla.
