The 2019 Armed Forces Classic will be played Friday, Nov. 8, at the Alaska Airlines Center. The eighth annual Armed Forces Classic features a Men's Basketball doubleheader with Baylor facing Washington at 5:30 p.m., and Coast Guard Academy playing UAA at 8 p.m.

General admission tickets start at $35 and can be purchased anytime at AlaskaAirlinesCenter.com.

UAA students can purchase two tickets for $24! Both ticket holders must be UAA students, be present and show their WOLFcards when picking up tickets at the Terry Ann Homan Box Office.

Both games will be televised on ESPN as part of the network's America's Heroes: A Salute to Our Veterans initiative honoring the men and women who are serving and who have served in the United States military, both at home and abroad.

The Armed Forces Classic is a series of men's college basketball games played on United States military bases worldwide, with the inaugural game played in 2012. UAA is partnering with the Joint Base Elemdorf-Richardson (JBER) military facility to host this year's classic, which marks only the second time in the event's history that tickets are available to the general public.

Previous Armed Forces Classic games have been played from Ramstein, Germany in 2012 (Connecticut vs. Michigan State); Pyongtaek, South Korea in 2013 (Georgetown vs. Oregon); Aguadilla, Puerto Rico in 2014 (Louisville vs. Minnesota); Honolulu, Hawaii in 2016 (Arizona vs. Michigan State & Indiana vs. Kansas); Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany in 2017 (Texas A&M vs. West Virginia); and Fort Bliss, Texas in 2018 (Texas vs. Arkansas).
