Former Bookstore Building to be renamed Enrollment Services Center

In anticipation of the upcoming move of Enrollment Services to the Bookstore's former location, the Bookstore Building soon will be renamed the Enrollment Services Center. The Enrollment Services move will take place during the spring 2020 semester. Located in the campus core, the Enrollment Services Center will help welcome new students to campus, connecting them to resources such as admissions, enrollment and financial aid.

University of Alaska Board of Regents policy requires functional descriptive naming of facilities. With prospective students and visitors on campus, it is critical the building's name clearly identifies the services provided within the space.

A committee with representation from USUAA, Student Life and Leadership, Student Affairs, Enrollment Services, General Support Services and Facilities and Campus Services recommended the name.

The Enrollment Services Center will house the following departments:

    • Admissions • Military & Veteran Student Services • Office of Financial Aid • Office of the Registrar (Registration, Records, Degree Services, Transfer Evaluation) • General Support Services (Mailroom, Copy/Print Center, Surplus/Recycling)

*Please note that GSS will continue to remain in its current location.
