Job opening: Vice Provost of Research

UAA is recruiting internally for the Vice Provost of Research (VPR) position with a focus on qualified candidates who embrace the broad array of sponsored and unsponsored research and creative activities that comprise research and scholarship at UAA. Candidates are expected to have research and academic administration leadership experience. Considering the current financial climate of the University of Alaska system, the VPR will be expected to rapidly adapt to these changes while maintaining UAA’s research mission. At this time, the VPR is expected to focus initial efforts on improving internal research processes that will enable and empower those pursuing sponsored research and creative activities.
