Academic Open Houses

Academic Open Houses are for students to connect with the college of their choice. This is a time for incoming students to meet with faculty and students, connect with advisors and learn about options for various majors. Students will gain a deeper understanding of how UAA's major will set you up for success after graduation, as well as make sure everyone is ready for the first day of class on Aug. 24.

College of Health: Aug. 18, 10 a.m.–Noon
Breakout Sessions include: Division of Population Health Sciences, Clinical Health Sciences, JUST, LEGL, HUMS, & SWK; Advising Q-and-A; College Best Practices; Student Panel

College of Arts and Sciences: Aug. 19, 10 a.m.–Noon
Meet with faculty about academic departments and research opportunities.

College of Business and Public Policy: Aug. 19, 3–5 p.m.
Breakout Sessions include: Meet Your Advisors; Economics Experiment; Entrepreneurship or AI; Logistics; and Student Panel.

College of Engineering: Aug. 20, 1–3 p.m.
Breakout Sessions include: Geomatics; Mechanical/Civil Engineering; Computer Science/Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Project Management; Modality; Advising; and Clubs & Organizations.
