Call to participate in Campus Climate Committee video

The Campus Climate Committee has been focused on LGBTQ+ support on campus this year based on feedback received in the Spring 2019 Campus Climate Survey. One of the committee’s projects is creating a video that targets UAA’s inclusive climate for all, including LGTBQ+ student, faculty and staff, to be released at Campus Kickoff on Aug. 22.
We would like to invite you to participate in the end of the video with a few words of encouragement for the LGBTQ+ community. We ask that you either record a short video or take a photograph with a sign stating your support. We have included a few sample phrases that you might consider stating in your recording or the photograph: “You Matter,” “You Belong Here,” “We Are Here For You” and “We Support You” — or you can come up with your own.
If you are interested in being included in the video, please submit these videos to Kim Morton (kmorton11@alaska.edu) by July 31, 2020 for review and inclusion in the final video.
