Please share your Research and Creative Activities!

UAA Faculty and Staff –

The Office of Research is seeking to better support, promote, and connect each of you through sharing information about research and creative activities. These activities are core to the UAA mission and are often synergistic with your teaching and service.

Why is it a perfect time to share your activities right now? As faculty you have submitted (this week, or over the summer for research staff) your activity report or promotion & tenure package to your Dean or Director. A portion of your submission contains a record of your publications, proceedings, showings, award wins, students mentored on research projects or creative works, etc. The information is already compiled, all you have to do is share it.

What should you share? We are interested in it all!  Submit any or all of the following: a portion of your annual activity report, a conference presentation, a paper/book/article, etc. It doesn’t matter if funding was external or not — general fund supported research activity and creative works are just as important to promote broadly as externally funded work.

How do you submit? Go to forms.gle/iinJArSrd69v3Bxt6 and fill out as much or as little of the form as you wish. There is a space for you to upload files also!

How will the information be used? In any or all of the following ways:

  1. Building broad or topic specific briefings for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  2. Creating new tools to regularly share our campus’ research and creative activities (e.g. new website, seminars, interviews, podcasts, etc.).
  3. Mining the information to create new partnerships and collaborations both on-campus and with external partners.
  4. Better directing opportunities to qualified and interested faculty.

Thank you all for your participation and your amazing contributions our university and each of your disciplines.
