Accreditation Series - Core Competency Open Forum

Personal, Professional and Community Responsibility

We need your help! Let’s collaborate to tell our story.

In Spring 2020, the UAA community selected four institution-wide core student learning competencies. This year, UAA is highlighting the competency of Personal, Professional and Community Responsibility. Because it is an institution-wide competency, we need to think about how this kind of student learning occurs in both traditional classroom settings and more broadly in student activity and service settings.

We are asking each participant to take a photo that represents a student learning opportunity focused on Personal, Professional and Community Responsibility in their program or area of UAA. Photos can be symbolic, an arranged scene or a real scene.

For example, if you teach students about laboratory safety, perhaps your photo would be of the laboratory setting you work in.

Photos can be submitted here.

At the forum, we will be using the Photo Voice process to collectively write our story about the student learning opportunities throughout the UAA community focused on Personal, Professional and Community Responsibility.

In order for our story to reflect our entire community, we need all of you: students, staff, faculty and administrators.

We hope that you can join us for this energizing, hands-on workshop!
